Business Policy & Strategy
This course is the basis for a solid understanding of the management decision-making, the present business environment and the ethical considerations in business. At the end of the course, you will be able to examine business practices, strategies for building, extending, and sustaining competitive advantage, corporate culture, vision, mission and strategy.
Financial Management
This course extensively explores into the issues and concepts of successful financial management and aims to enhance the knowledge of finance when dealing with the complexity of making financial decisions in a management environment. Emphasis will be given on how to maximise the assets of the company and obtain financial results, examining the trade-offs that are necessary and decisions on maximisation.
Fundamentals of Accounting
The course is an introduction to the field of accounting for business. Upon completion of this course, you will have a thorough understanding of accounting principles, business analysis, and be able to prepare financial statements. You will also recognise the accounting characteristics of the different forms of business organisations.
Entrepreneurship
Learn the theory and the practice of managing and owning a private business, problems of running a family business and how new businesses are started. The subject explores the entire process of creating and running operations, from planning to execution. It gives you a thorough perspective of the process of building and presenting business plans.
Fundamentals of Marketing
This course examines the different skills needed in order to be an effective marketing person, including the processes of analysing the market, applying the 4Ps, the specifics of marketing products and services and the differences in selling them, focussing on contemporary marketing trends.
HR Management
Examines and provides a solid ground for understanding human behaviour, human resources and their development, and the challenges that impact companies. The course creates an analytical horizon for issues in team building, motivation and satisfaction, dynamics of communicating, leading, counselling, and individual development.
International Business & Trade
The course examines the process of international financing and development, with the roles of different types of lenders, domestic and foreign government assistance programmes, different methods of payment, identifying and managing risk in the international financial arena and tax considerations. You will also explore the most common methods of international payment and collections, including letters of credit, forfeiting, consignment and countertrade.
Management & Business
Learn the basics of the management process, the different approaches to it and the external factors of influence. You will examine the functions of planning, delegating, decision making, job design, human resource management and communication. The course will be specially emphasised on the external and internal information systems, as well as the strategic, management and operational needs of a business.
Management Information System
This course develops a clear understanding and breadth of knowledge within the theoretical principles and concepts of information technology. You will be introduced to the role of Information Systems (IS) within a professional business environment. The unit builds a basic understanding of the value and uses of information technology in information systems for business operations, managerial decision-making, and strategic advantage.
Micro- & Macroeconomics
Microeconomics
Discusses the topics of supply and demand, consumer theory, competition, market structures, factor markets and market failure with cases in subsidies, control, protectionism, pollution and welfare programmes. You will have the chance to participate in contemporary policy debates concerning the roles of the government and the market, and will create applied economic analysis
Macroeconomics
Concentrates on building a solid base of the different economic theories and their development and evaluation against empirical evidence. The course will examine supply and demand, aggregate demand, market equilibrium, Gross Domestic Product (GDP), national savings and various other key macroeconomic topics.
Presentation & Communication
The course examines the seven aspects of a dynamic presentation, shows methods of structuring, visualising and delivering messages. It aims to teach you how to improve vocal variety and how to use verbal and nonverbal signs in order to improve body movement, facial expressions, eye contact and countenance. It also illustrates techniques on dealing with questions and debate.
Purchasing & Supply Chain Management
The course will aim to give you a solid base of the field of purchasing and supply management. To finish the course, you have to understand the important of purchasing and the concept of supply management; have the ability to apply various methods in managing and improving the purchasing process as well as the ability to use relevant tools for measuring purchasing and supplier performance.
Sales Management & Consumer Behaviour
This is a hands-on introduction to selling and sales management. The course aims to develop your sales skills and sales techniques, allowing you to gain expertise in your sales territories and build successful sales and management teams.
Duration
The Accelerated Bachelor of Business Administration (ABBA) programme is designed on a modular that provides you the flexibility you need. Upon investing around eight hours of study a week, the average course duration will be around 4 months.
